Steve Werner has been on the board of directors for the World Affairs Challenge (WAC) and the Center for Teaching International Relations for many years. As returned Peace Corps volunteer, he found that WAC was one of the best ways to carry out the Third Goal of the Peace Corps – “To promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.” Steve has worked in senior management positions for large international non-profit organizations such as CARE, Habitat for Humanity International, and Water For People. He has been consulting with large and small international non-profit organizations and NGOs. He is currently serving as a short-term Peace Corps volunteer in the country of Georgia. He is also active with many other educational and service organizations such as Rotary International, the Kellogg Fellows, the Mortenson Center at the University of Colorado, and the Eck Institute at the University of Notre Dame.
